Battle Ave Introduces REPRESENT: Honolulu
3 DJs. 3 Sounds. 1 Room.
On Friday, October 16, Battle Ave takes over NextDoor Honolulu for the launch of REPRESENT — a new kind of DJ competition built around sound, style, community and the ability to move a room.
Part battle. Part party.
REPRESENT brings together DJs from different corners of the local music scene and gives each of them the opportunity to show exactly who they are behind the decks.
No two DJs need to sound alike.
In fact, that's the point.
WHO DO YOU REPRESENT?
For our first edition, three Honolulu DJs step into the room:
Three DJs with different musical identities, backgrounds and approaches to rocking a crowd.
REPRESENT isn't only about technical ability. Selection matters. Creativity matters. Personality matters. Reading the room matters.
And most importantly, the crowd is part of it.
This is competition without losing the energy of a great party — where the battle happens inside the party instead of stopping it.
BUILT FOR DJ CULTURE
Battle Ave has always believed competition can push DJ culture forward.
But DJing continues to evolve.
Today's DJs move between genres, scenes, technology and communities in ways that don't always fit inside traditional competition formats.
REPRESENT was created for that.
It's a platform for DJs to represent their sound, their scene and their community — while putting one of the most fundamental DJ skills back at the center:
Moving the crowd.
Honolulu is where REPRESENT begins.
